Dota 2 caster Rustam “Adekvat” Mavlyutov shared his thoughts on the outcomes of the FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 tournament. He specifically commented on the performance of the PARIVISION team, stating that he would not write them off for the upcoming Riyadh Masters 2025.
Mavlyutov expressed his hope that PARIVISION`s showing in the last two days of the tournament was merely them playing at “half-strength” or creating a false impression, potentially saving strategies for more important upcoming tournaments like the EWC. He hopes this was a smart strategic move ahead of a crucial series of events.
Providing context for their performance, PARIVISION advanced to the playoffs from first place in Group A at FISSURE Universe: Episode 5. In the upper bracket final, the team led by Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko was defeated by Team Liquid. PARIVISION then overcame Aurora Gaming in the lower bracket, but ultimately lost to Liquid again in the grand final.
The FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 online tournament took place from July 1-4. Ten teams competed for a $250,000 prize pool.
