Alagon Praises MieRo’s Dota 2 Dedication

Dota 2 coach Kirill “Alagon” Pavlik shared his thoughts on Matvey “MieRo” Vasyunin, the offlaner for BetBoom Team. During a livestream with Luka “Lukawa” Nasuashvili, Alagon highlighted the difficult path MieRo overcame to reach the professional Dota 2 scene.

According to Alagon, if he were a young aspiring player, MieRo would be his role model. He noted that despite facing criticism and being underestimated, MieRo has become a top-tier offlaner for BetBoom Team while consistently maintaining a high rank in matchmaking. Lukawa added that MieRo drastically improved his rank from 250 to the top 10 within a few months of joining BetBoom Team. Alagon emphasized MieRo`s journey as an example of what`s possible with hard work, mentioning MieRo`s challenging start playing from the Ural region with a high ping of 160, yet still striving to compete in European public games.

Alagon contrasted MieRo`s path with players like Pure~ and gpK~, whom he described as naturally gifted “geniuses” who had smoother ascents to professional play. He mentioned Pure~ starting with a high rank in Vladivostok and quickly succeeding in Europe, and gpK~ climbing ranks after a role change. Alagon positioned MieRo as an “everyman” player who achieved success through sheer determination and effort.

MieRo`s professional Dota 2 career began in 2020, and he has since played for teams such as Cascade Esports, HellRaisers, and 9Pandas. Throughout his career, Vasyunin has earned recognition and prizes in numerous significant international tournaments, accumulating approximately $679,000 in winnings.
