Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen, a player for Natus Vincere`s Counter-Strike 2 team, shared his thoughts on their loss to The Mongolz at ESL Pro League Season 21. He also talked about how the team dealt with the defeat in preparation for BLAST Open Lisbon 2025.
When asked about feeling a crisis after losing to The Mongolz, Aleksib laughed and said, “Crisis is too strong of a word.” He explained, “Having been a professional for so long, you see teams peak and then dip a little. It`s natural, and we are working on it. We have a lot of good staff behind the scenes trying to cheer us up and motivate us.”
He continued, “The thing is, everything we do seems so routine. We`ve done it a thousand times. We just need to find something exciting, find support in each other, and play for the team, not for stats. It all comes together if we play like we did last season. So, I feel like it`s normal, and we are doing our best.”
At ESL Pro League Season 21, Virolainen`s team was defeated by the Mongolian team with a score of 0:2. However, in a rematch at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 on March 23, NAVI secured a victory.
