NAVI`s CS2 roster captain, Aleksi Virolainen, known as Aleksib, emphasized the significance of the upcoming tournaments for the team. According to him, the squad needs to deliver strong results soon to avoid potential roster changes. He shared this perspective in an interview ahead of PGL Astana 2025, published on the organizers` official channel.
“We need to be fully focused on these last two tournaments. We understand that we need to show results right now, otherwise, something will likely happen. That`s normal. I`ve played for different teams and I know that NAVI aims for victories. We still have two chances to show what we`re capable of. I feel the pressure has eased a bit, but at the same time, I wouldn`t call it a `last dance,` although we really need to act now. This is the final opportunity to show NAVI what we are capable of and prove to ourselves that we are still the same team as last year.”
The PGL Astana 2025 tournament is taking place in Kazakhstan from May 10 to 18, where 16 teams are competing for a $1.25 million prize pool, part of which will be distributed among the clubs. NAVI had a successful start with two wins and will play against The Mongolz in the match for a playoff spot. The current schedule and results are available in the tournament coverage.
