Peacock streaming service has officially ordered an animated series based on the popular comedy film franchise “Ted”.
The “Ted” franchise follows the story of John Bennett, a boy whose wish for his beloved teddy bear to come to life miraculously came true. Decades later, the once-cuddly companion has transformed into Ted, a foul-mouthed, hard-partying slacker living life to the fullest. While specific plot details for the animated series are currently under wraps, it has been confirmed that voice actors from the original films, including Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane, Jessica Barth, and Amanda Seyfried, are set to return to provide voices. Notably, Amanda Seyfried appeared only in the second movie.
The first “Ted” film premiered in 2012, garnering positive reception with scores of 6.9 out of 10 on IMDb and 6.7 out of 10 on Kinopoisk. Its sequel was released in 2015, receiving ratings of 6.3/10 and 5.9/10 on IMDb and Kinopoisk respectively.
