Arteezy Planned TI14 Qualifier Run with RAMZES666, Fly, and Abed

Dota 2 professional player Artur “Arteezy” Babaev revealed his original intention to compete in The International 2024 qualifiers alongside his former Evil Geniuses teammates. During a recent personal stream, Arteezy explained that this planned reunion didn`t come to fruition because the other players ultimately made different decisions. A clip of his statement was shared on the 4Head YouTube channel.

I`ll answer this once because I`m tired of these questions. I won`t be playing in the TI14 qualifiers because I don`t want to. Initially, I planned to play in the qualifiers with RAMZES666, Abed, and Fly. Then Abed decided to join f***ing MOUZ — s**t. Fly went to AVULUS or whatever that s**t stack is called. And then RAMZES666 also decided he didn`t want to play.

Arteezy previously played on the same team with Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, Tal “Fly” Aizik, and Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop from 2019 to 2020 under the Evil Geniuses banner. Together, this roster achieved significant results, including a top-4 finish at the MDL Chengdu Major and securing second place at both the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore and DreamLeague Leipzig Major.

The open qualifiers for The International 2024 are scheduled to take place from May 31st to June 5th. These qualifiers will be held across six different regions. Teams will compete for coveted spots in the closed qualifier stage, which already features a number of directly invited squads in each region.
