Assassin`s Creed Shadows has achieved a new milestone, becoming the most played game in the Assassin`s Creed franchise on Steam in terms of concurrent players. Data comes from Steam Charts.
The previous record was held by Assassin`s Creed Odyssey with 62,000 concurrent players. However, Shadows surpassed this on March 23rd, reaching 64,000 players online simultaneously. The game sold over a million copies on its first day of release and exceeded two million players within the first three days.
Assassin`s Creed Shadows was released on March 20, 2025. It is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC through Steam, Ubisoft Store, and Epic Games Store. Previously, the title faced criticism from Japanese gamers who were unhappy with the abbreviated name of Japan in the game files.
