On May 17th, Aurora Gaming is set to face Astralis in the playoffs of the PGL Astana 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament. According to analysts, the team led by Özgür `woxic` Eker is considered the favorite to win this encounter.
The match is scheduled to begin at 13:00 Moscow time and will be played in a best-of-3 format. The winner will advance to the final, while the losing team will compete for third place. This will mark the first official meeting between these two lineups in 2025.
As of the time of this publication, Eker`s team holds the sixth position in Valve`s team ranking. Rasmus `HooXi` Nielsen`s team is currently ranked 12th.
The PGL Astana 2025 tournament is taking place as a LAN event in Kazakhstan from May 10th to 18th. Teams are competing for a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
