The European Dota 2 team AVULUS has been defeated by Yellow Submarine in the lower bracket of the Western Europe qualifiers for The International 2025. The series concluded with a decisive 0-2 score in favor of Yellow Submarine.
Led by Tal “Fly” Aizik, AVULUS lost both of their matches in the qualifiers, thus losing their opportunity to compete in the main stage of the tournament. Reports indicate the team was playing with a stand-in due to a management issue. Yellow Submarine will continue their run in the qualifiers, with their next opponent being the loser of the match between 1win Team and Natus Vincere Junior.
The closed qualifier for Western Europe for The International 2025 is being held online from June 13th to June 17th. Teams are competing for two slots to advance to the main event.
