BetBoom Team Operations Director Discusses Buyback Bug Incident

Gleb `cenra` Antokhin, the Operations Director for BetBoom Team`s Dota 2 division, commented on Aurora Gaming`s defeat at PGL Wallachia Season 4. The loss followed a significant bug that occurred during the third map of their match, preventing Aurora`s carry, Egor `Nightfall` Grigorenko, from using his buyback ability. Cenra shared his perspective on the incident via Telegram.

It`s certainly frustrating that in 2025, Dota still doesn`t have a `save` function)) even WarCraft III had that. Generally, in my opinion, teams could have agreed to let the hero respawn without the base being destroyed, but I doubt the admins would allow that) just as an option.

During the decisive third map against PARIVISION, Grigorenko encountered an issue where he was unable to buy back despite having sufficient gold. This bug was linked to the Devil`s Bargain hero aspect. Ultimately, the incident contributed to Aurora losing the match and dropping into the lower bracket of the tournament.
