Former OG Dota 2 player, Sebastien “Ceb” Debs, has released a detailed statement regarding his departure from the active roster. The announcement was made on his social media channels.
In his statement, Ceb addressed the recent performance of the team, acknowledging that results hadn`t been optimal despite their hard work to improve. He emphasized that he was part of these efforts.
He explained that Wisper faced health issues and stress related to travel, necessitating a change. When the team needed a stand-in for qualifiers in January, Ceb was asked to step in.
Ceb mentioned feeling occasionally ready to compete on stage and wanted to help OG. He agreed to play in qualifiers and at PGL Wallachia 3 at the club`s request, clarifying that the decision to return wasn`t solely his.
Reflecting on his performance, Ceb expressed disappointment in not being able to contribute effectively. He speculated that team synergy or his own form might be factors. Recognizing the need for more consistent and better options, Ceb decided to leave the team.
Looking ahead, Ceb shared his plans to dedicate his time to streaming and content creation, activities he genuinely enjoys. While remaining serious about gaming, he finds interacting with his audience through streams more fulfilling. He also mentioned ongoing commitments within OG and his desire to support the team`s future success.
Ceb expressed confidence in his decision, stating his dream for OG to become a top-tier team again and his commitment to supporting this goal. He thanked fans for their support and acknowledged their potential disappointment with recent results, concluding with an optimistic note about overcoming setbacks.
The departure of Ceb, along with 23savage and xNova, from OG`s roster was confirmed on March 26th. Replacements for the departing players are yet to be announced.
