Team Spirit offlaner Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov shared his thoughts on the challenging match against Natus Vincere (NAVI) in the third round of the PGL Wallachia Season 5 Dota 2 group stage.
Hello everyone. We played against NAVI for three maps again today. The games were very difficult. In the first game, the opponents had a slight outdraft: Dark Willow, Death Prophet, Ursa were there, and we couldn`t come up with a hero for the last pick. We could have picked either Venomancer or Enigma, but, personally, I didn`t think it looked good there.
In the second game, we picked Axe, and they responded with Ursa. We picked Enigma and shut down their lane, as we wanted to do in the first game, but only succeeded here — that made it easier to play. Our other lanes were fine, so we won the second map quickly.
The third map was a complete nightmare, to be honest. My position four Ember Spirit lane was absolutely crushed. Mid had a Monkey King with First Blood, and we were hoping Venomancer could shut him down. We played for a long time, our hands were almost giving up. At some point, we finally managed to turn the game around. At the end, when we were already winning, we were just sitting there saying, `This can`t be happening, that we won again like this. Again?`
So, those were the kinds of games we had. Now we have a couple of days off, and then the playoffs. Keep cheering for us. We will try to show our best game, fix the drafts a bit, and hopefully, everything will be fine.
Team Spirit and NAVI met in the bracket for teams with a 2-0 record. Collapse`s team proved stronger in the series and advanced to the PGL Wallachia S5 playoffs. NAVI will continue their run in the group stage and need to win one match out of their remaining two attempts to qualify for the next stage.
