Crimson Tide Sequel Reportedly in Development

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has revealed that a sequel to his 1995 film, “Crimson Tide,” is currently being developed. He shared this information during an interview on The Rich Eisen Show.

Bruckheimer stated that the project has “very good director and screenwriter” working on it, and they are consulting with representatives from the U.S. Navy. He also expressed his hope that Denzel Washington, who starred in the original movie, would be willing to return for the sequel. “If we give him a good script, I think he`ll agree,” Bruckheimer commented.

The original “Crimson Tide” premiered in 1995 and depicted the intense situation aboard an American submarine that receives conflicting orders regarding a potential nuclear strike on Russia. The plot primarily revolved around the dramatic clash between the submarine`s commanding officer and his executive officer.
