Professional Counter-Strike 2 player David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan has spoken out about the potential transfer of Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov to Team Falcons.
During a personal stream, the esports player mentioned that he believes the club management`s decision would be unfair to the current team sniper, Abdul “degster” Gasanov.
n0rb3r7 quoted as saying, “This is harsh! m0NESY to Falcons… If it`s true, it`s crazy. G2, good luck. Honestly, besides that, Magisk should be removed [from Falcons] instead. But honestly, it`s unfair – I would say so. I would have let them finish the season… I just don`t understand the reasoning behind this replacement. If it`s true, it`s just crazy. It`s not even about degster, it`s just an unfair situation, in my opinion.”
Danielyan believes that such a replacement should have been considered in the off-season. However, n0rb3r7 also suggests that degster will still play at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, but possibly for G2 Esports.
He further stated, “Of course, Abdul [degster] is a cool guy, hardworking, plays well, but if there`s an opportunity to buy m0NESY… Obviously, m0NESY is head and shoulders above Abdul, but it`s so unfair. You train every day for three months, go to bootcamps, play in championships, reach the final of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, lose it, perform poorly at ESL Pro League S2, and then they`re like: `Okay, Abdul, [you`re out]`. Is that how it looks? I just notice the fact that many teams are looking for the problem in the wrong place. For example, I just don`t agree with this decision [to replace degster with m0NESY]. I would have agreed with it after the major, but two days before the major invites… They will make an announcement after they receive all the invites, when they are sure. It seems to me they just swapped – degster for m0NESY. Because both teams will likely play at the major.”
The possible transfer of m0NESY to Team Falcons was reported by insider Guillaume “neL” Canelo. It is speculated that the Russian sniper has already signed a contract with the new team and will join the roster before BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
