Frederik “roeJ” Jørgensen, a professional Counter-Strike 2 player, disclosed that he turned down an offer to join Team Liquid in 2021, even though it came with a significant salary.
According to roeJ, the offer was tempting, but he prioritized playing in an environment where he could fully develop his potential. He explained that joining Team Liquid would have meant sharing many in-game positions with EliGE, which was a concern for him.
He stated that while the financial aspect of the Team Liquid offer was appealing, his main focus was on improving as a player and advancing his career. At the time, Jørgensen was playing for Copenhagen Wolves. He mentioned that Team Liquid`s offer included a $37,000 salary, but he ultimately declined the opportunity. Currently, roeJ has retired from professional CS2.
