There are rumors circulating that professional Counter-Strike 2 player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev might be joining FURIA Esports. This information comes from an insider source who shared it with a content creator.
The source, reportedly close to FURIA, claims that during a closed club event, a manager, under the influence of alcohol, mentioned the potential transfer. If this deal goes through, s1mple is expected to take the place of Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo in the lineup. It`s important to note that s1mple is being considered for a rifler role, not as a dedicated AWPer.
Historically, FURIA Esports has been known for fielding exclusively Brazilian players. However, this tradition shifted in early April with the addition of Kazakhstani sniper Daniil “molodoy” Golubenco. FalleN, who has been primarily an AWPer throughout his career, has already transitioned to a rifler role within the team.
Currently, s1mple is still under contract with Natus Vincere (NAVI) and has been inactive since October 2023. He briefly played for Team Falcons on loan, but a permanent transfer from NAVI did not materialize.
