Desperate Housewives Reboot ‘Wisteria Lane’ in Development

Onyx Collective is reportedly developing a reboot of the popular drama series, “Desperate Housewives”. The new project is said to be titled “Wisteria Lane,” paying homage to the famous street where the original show`s characters resided.

According to the initial description, the story will focus on “five very different friends” who, despite appearing to lead perfect lives, are concealing numerous secrets. Natalie Chaidez, known for her work on “V” (The Visitors) and “Queen of the South,” is attached as the writer and executive producer for the new series.

The original “Desperate Housewives” aired from 2004 to 2012. It garnered significant audience appreciation, reflected in its ratings of 7.6 out of 10 on IMDb and 8.2 out of 10 on Kinopoisk.

Notably, the creator of the original series had previously expressed a desire to potentially produce a reboot specifically set in the 1960s, offering a different thematic approach to the show`s core premise.
