Disney has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action adaptation of “Lilo & Stitch”. The footage notably features the mischievous alien Stitch appearing in the settings of several classic Disney animated films. Images from the trailer were subsequently shared across social media platforms.
The film is a live-action remake of Disney`s popular 2002 animated feature. It tells the story of an unlikely bond formed between a lonely young girl living in Hawaii and a fugitive extraterrestrial experiment who is pretending to be a dog. The live-action “Lilo & Stitch” is currently slated for release on May 23, 2025. Direction for the movie comes from Academy Award nominee Dean Fleischer-Camp, known for his work on “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On”.
The original animated movie “Lilo & Stitch” first premiered in 2002. It was well-received by audiences, holding a user rating of 7.3 out of 10 on the popular movie database IMDb and 7.9 out of 10 on the Russian film site KinoPoisk.
