Tournament organizer BLAST has prohibited the team DogEvil from participating in the closed qualifiers for the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 in CS2 for China. The reason for this decision was the ban of one of the team`s players for using cheats.
Tournament officials reported that player BZA was banned on the Chinese B5 platform. The esports player tried to hide this, but the qualification administrators detected the account substitution.
BLAST representatives contacted Valve, and with their consent, also banned BZA. The remaining DogEvil players were not sanctioned, but the team was disqualified from the Chinese Major qualifiers because they did not have a coach or substitute player registered, and therefore could not continue to perform with an incomplete lineup.
The Chinese qualifiers for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 are being held online from April 15th to 17th. The first of the two slots allocated to the region went to Lynn Vision Gaming, and the second will be decided between TYLOO and Rare Atom.
