Donk Discusses Trash Talk in Professional CS2

Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, a player for Team Spirit in CS2, has shared his thoughts on the verbal exchange with Adam “torzsi” Torzsas from MOUZ during their match at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 group stage. In an interview, donk clarified that neither player took the incident seriously.

“I don`t care, and neither does he [torzsi]. We have a good relationship with everyone in MOUZ, we joke around and stuff. When we see each other outside of the game, we always chat. Moreover, there were no conflicts after the match because we talked after the game, and there are no hard feelings. I don`t know, I just wrote it for fun, just to joke around <…>. There is no conflict or negativity. People usually invent and exaggerate everything.”

Donk also mentioned that he appreciates trash talk as part of competitive esports.

“I think it`s very cool. Personally, I believe that sports are primarily about emotions, and when players, without holding back, shout something at each other… Of course, there are certain boundaries that are better not to cross, but overall, there`s nothing wrong with it. If players don`t feel any negativity towards each other, why not? It`s fun, and it becomes more interesting to watch – a kind of mini-beef.”

The exchange between donk and torzsi occurred in the general chat during the official match. The players traded some insults, but the incident did not escalate further.
