The peak online player count in March also decreased compared to February. The first month of spring recorded 656,200 players at peak times, while February saw 708,000 players at its peak. The average online player count for Dota 2 has been falling since February, with the last increase recorded in January.
It was previously reported that after the release of patch 7.38, the online player count in Dota 2 increased by more than 100,000 people. However, this update attracted fewer players than the release of “Fallen Crown”.
