Dota 2 Average Player Count Falls Below 400,000

Dota 2`s average monthly player count dropped below the 400,000 threshold in April, representing the first time since September 2021 that the game`s average concurrent players have fallen below this significant mark.

In April, the average number of concurrent players for Dota 2 was approximately 393,000. This indicates a decline of nearly 10,000 players compared to the average recorded in March. The last time the average count was lower than 400,000 was in September 2021, when the figure stood at around 391,000. The month of April also saw a decrease in the game`s peak concurrent players, dropping to 630,000 from 656,000 in March.

Separately, streamer Alexander Nix Levin recently suggested that reducing hero survivability in Dota 2 could help improve the overall game experience.
