Funcom has expanded the benefits for users who pre-ordered Dune: Awakening. Players with pre-order packages can now participate in the preliminary beta testing for the MMORPG. This information was shared on the game`s Steam page.
The beta test for Dune: Awakening ran from May 9 to May 12. Initially, access was by invitation only. However, following community dissatisfaction, which included players urging others to cancel pre-orders, Funcom decided to allow more people to participate in the tests. All pre-order holders were granted access, regardless of their specific pre-order tier.
Dune: Awakening is set to release on PC on May 20, 2025, and will become available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later. Previously, the developers disclosed the full system requirements and released a demo version to check PC compatibility with the game.
