Dyrachyo Explains Break From Pro Dota 2

Esports athlete Anton `dyrachyo` Shkredov has announced that he doesn`t plan to return to the professional Dota 2 scene until at least after The International 2025 concludes. In an interview on the Smol Talk YouTube channel, he elaborated on the reasons for taking this break and shared his perspective on the current state of tournaments.

When asked about his return, Dyrachyo commented: “Well, I think we`ll see after `Int` (The International). Maybe I`ll return, maybe I won`t. Before `Int`? No, I don`t have the desire. The schedule is just too much. If I were asked to stand-in, maybe I`d think about it, but I simply don`t like the quality of the tournaments, that`s all. It`s uncomfortable being there.

And honestly, there`s a lack of spectators. Because you`re constantly playing from studios, from some offices, from unclear locations, the atmosphere is lost. It turns into a routine instead of a celebration. When it`s a routine, it gets very tiring over time. For example, I played four tournaments recently, three of which were in a studio – one had a half-empty hall.”
