Dyrachyo on Virtus.pro’s Elimination from the CS2 Major: ‘Felt a Bit Sorry’

Dota 2 professional player Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov shared his thoughts on Virtus.pro`s elimination from the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 CS2 tournament, stating that he felt some sympathy for the team despite their performance.

Dyrachyo expressed pity for the VP players, acknowledging that while their performance could be criticized, he felt a moment of sympathy for them in the situation. He added that the loss was deserved but highlighted how frustrating it must be for the players to be on the verge of a comeback, only to lose a crucial round late in the game (referencing a hypothetical 13-11 scoreline in a decider map). He concluded by wishing the team luck and speculating about potential future roster changes.

Details of the match showed Virtus.pro losing 1-2 to paiN Gaming (with map scores of 8-13 on Mirage, 13-6 on Inferno, and 11-13 on Dust2) in the crucial third-stage elimination match. This result led to Virtus.pro`s exit from the tournament, while paiN Gaming secured a playoff spot.

The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 is being held in Austin, USA, from June 3 to June 22. The tournament features 32 competing teams and boasts a $1.25 million prize pool.
