Honestly, I`m not entirely caught up on the topic, and it`s difficult to give a comprehensive answer, but the reduction in quality is absurd.
On June 23rd, the variety of viewing quality options was limited for Twitch users in Russia. The customary 1080p option is no longer available, leaving only the possibility to select 720p. In their comments on the change, platform representatives indicated that the maximum quality of streams in Russia was lowered for economic considerations.
