The total value of bets placed on esports events experienced substantial growth in 2024, increasing by 106%. In terms of the sheer number of bets, there was an 83% rise.
Esports also surpassed many traditional sports, including football, when it comes to the average bet size, standing at €29 compared to €5 for football. The most popular esports titles were key drivers of this growth: Counter-Strike 2 saw a 99% increase in volume, Dota 2 grew by 90%, and League of Legends by 61%. Valorant was the top performer, with its total betting volume surging by an impressive 175% over the year.
