Tournament organizer FISSURE has announced a new Dota 2 championship called FISSURE Special. This competition will feature an Elimination Draft system, where teams can only pick each hero once per match.
Seven invited teams will participate in FISSURE Special, with the participant list to be revealed at a later date. The online tournament, boasting a $70,000 prize pool, is scheduled for April 5th to 13th. The group stage will run from April 5th to 10th, followed by the playoffs from April 11th to 13th.
FISSURE`s previous Dota 2 tournament was FISSURE Universe: Episode 4. That event featured 16 teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool. BetBoom Team emerged as the champion, defeating Gaimin Gladiators 3-0 in the grand final.
