Microsoft is continuing its initiative to release former Xbox-exclusive titles on PlayStation 5, and Forza Horizon 5 is the latest highly anticipated first-party game to make this transition. To mark this significant launch, a new update called “Forza Realms” is bringing back a fan-favorite, previously time-limited game mode – “Evolving Worlds” – and making it a permanent fixture within the game.
With this update, players gain access to explore eleven distinct Evolving Worlds, alongside a brand-new Stadium track. These additional map experiences can be conveniently accessed by navigating to the `Campaign` tab directly from the main menu. Alternatively, players can locate and use the `Horizon Realms` spatial indicator situated to the left of the Stadium area in the game world.
It`s important for new players, including those joining from the PS5 platform or starting the game fresh, to note that accessing Horizon Realms first requires unlocking the Festival Playlist. Fortunately, this initial requirement is designed to be completed easily as players progress through the early stages of the game.
These Evolving Worlds offer a dramatically different gameplay style compared to the standard open-world map of Forza Horizon 5. They inject a unique flavor into the high-octane racing experience with themed tracks that could even be likened to the creative circuits found in games like Mario Kart, providing a refreshing change of pace.
The Forza Realms update also brings new progression elements for existing platforms. PC and Xbox versions of the game receive 17 new achievements and 45 new Accolades to unlock. For PS5 players, the base game offers a substantial total of 111 trophies to collect. For completionists aiming for that elusive 100 percent game completion rate, this new content means it`s time to jump back behind the wheel and hit the roads (and tracks!) once more.
The effort invested in completing the new challenges and Accolades will certainly be worthwhile, as they come with exciting car rewards. Drivers who successfully finish the brand-new Accolades can earn prestigious vehicles including:
- The 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto
- The 2023 Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato
- The 2022 Hennessey Mammoth 6×6
- And the 2018 Lotus Exige Cup 430
