Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Forza Motorsport has released a significant update for PC and Xbox Series X|S. This major patch includes a highly anticipated feature that the community has long requested: public meetups.
Players can now participate in four different public meetup modes, split equally between drift and race rules. Standard playlists for both rule sets will cycle through all 73 available track layouts. Drift enthusiasts gain access to a dedicated 24/7 playlist on the newly returned Fujimi Kaido, while race fans get a constant option for the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife, known as the `Green Hell`.
Developers utilized this update to implement improvements to the game`s AI, aiming for cleaner and safer driving behavior, particularly during the often chaotic race starts. The update also brings enhanced steering wheel support, though users will need to readjust their steering sensitivity settings the first time they use their wheel after installing the patch.
In keeping with the anniversary theme, several songs from previous Forza Motorsport soundtracks have been added to the game, alongside some entirely new musical pieces.
For fans of the career mode, a brand-new permanent Featured Tour has been introduced: The 20th Anniversary Tour. This tour is structured into seven series, each containing four events, making a total of 28 challenges. One series will become available each week, starting with races on Fujimi Kaido, Maple Valley, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and Sunset Peninsula Raceway.
Completing the entire 20th Anniversary Tour rewards players with the 2022 Acura NSX Type S. Additionally, finishing each individual series within the tour unlocks a new racing suit inspired by games from the series` history.
Beyond these headline features, the update also contains numerous fixes, adjustments, new challenges, and multiplayer tours, making it a memorable moment for simulation racing enthusiasts.
