Disney has unveiled the full trailer for “Freaky Friday 2,” the upcoming sequel scheduled for release on August 8, 2025.
“Freaky Friday” is based on the novel of the same name by author Mary Rodgers. The book has been adapted into several films over the years, including the popular 2003 version that starred Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. Both actresses are confirmed to reprise their roles in the new movie. The sequel is directed by Nisha Ganatra.
The 2003 film, which garnered positive reviews from audiences (receiving ratings such as 6.3/10 on IMDb and 7/10 on Kinopoisk), told the story of a mother and daughter who magically swap bodies and must learn to understand each other`s perspectives. The new installment is set to explore a similar premise, focusing on the daughter of Lindsay Lohan`s character and her own mother.
