Xbox Game Studios, in collaboration with studios The Coalition, Sumo Digital, and Disbelief, have officially unveiled Gears of War: Reloaded. This title represents a complete remaster of the very first installment in the critically acclaimed Gears of War series. The announcement was made by representatives from the involved companies. This highly anticipated remaster aims to deliver the iconic original experience in a carefully updated version for modern platforms.
The release of Gears of War: Reloaded is slated for August 26, 2025. The game will be available digitally on PC through the Steam and Microsoft Store platforms, as well as on current-generation consoles, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. Upon launch, the shooter will be immediately accessible via Xbox Game Pass. Furthermore, players who currently own Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be eligible for a free upgrade to the Reloaded version.
