Геймдизайнер Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 рассказал, что специально сделал мини-игры такими сложными

The creative director for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Guillaume Broche, has confessed that he found the inspiration for the game`s notoriously challenging mini-games in his own past experiences with difficult game trials. He specifically recalled his struggles with certain challenges in Final Fantasy X, citing the frustrating chocobo races and the task of dodging a hundred lightning bolts as particularly painful memories.

Having gained what he called a “pleasant trauma” from these previous gaming hardships, Broche came to believe that enduring suffering is an integral part of any truly great adventure. This conviction led him to personally advocate for the inclusion of several exceedingly difficult activities within Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The developer shared that he feels “proud of how players suffer” when attempting these challenging tasks.

Despite featuring these intentionally difficult mini-games, the game has achieved remarkable success. It is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and is also included in the Game Pass library. Within just 12 days following its release, the project sold over two million copies and claimed the top spot in the weekly sales chart for the United Kingdom.
