Genshin Impact Banner Schedule for 2025

Genshin Impact stands out as a highly popular gacha game, captivating a global audience with its immersive fantasy world, breathtaking locations, engaging storyline, and the exciting prospect of acquiring and enhancing beloved characters for your account.

The game features both limited-time event banners and permanent banners where players can obtain characters and their associated weapons. Each character possesses unique stats and abilities, fulfilling diverse roles in combat: some deal damage, others heal allies, and some provide support by boosting the stats of damage dealers.

This article will provide an overview of which five-star and four-star characters are expected to appear in upcoming banners, along with their signature weapons, based on current information and speculation for 2025.

Current Banners (Patch 5.6)

As of the time of writing, the first phase of Patch 5.6 is underway, featuring the following character banners:

5 ★ Escofier (Cryo, Polearm)

5 ★ Navia (Geo, Claymore)

4 ★ Ororon (Electro, Bow)

4 ★ Ifa (Anemo, Catalyst)

4 ★ Layla (Cryo, Sword)

The weapon banner currently features the signature equipment for Escofier and Navia:

5 ★ “Symphonist of Flavors” (Polearm)

5 ★ “Verdict” (Claymore)

4 ★ “Rangefinder” (Bow)

4 ★ “Prospector`s Drill” (Polearm)

4 ★ “The Widsith” (Catalyst)

4 ★ “Dockhand`s Assistant” (Sword)

4 ★ “Portable Power Saw” (Claymore)

The second phase of the update will feature the following characters:

5 ★ Raiden (Electro, Polearm)

5 ★ Kinich (Dendro, Claymore)

4 ★ Sara (Electro, Bow)

4 ★ Thoma (Pyro, Polearm)

4 ★ Lynette (Anemo, Sword)

The weapon banner in the second phase will feature signature equipment for Kinich and Raiden:

5 ★ “Engulfing Lightning” (Polearm)

5 ★ “Mountain King`s Fang” (Claymore)

Additionally, the second half of Patch 5.6 is expected to include a Chronicled Wish banner. This time, it will focus on characters from Inazuma:

5 ★ Ayaka (Cryo, Sword)

5 ★ Itto (Geo, Claymore)

5 ★ Yoimiya (Pyro, Bow)

5 ★ Yae Miko (Electro, Catalyst)

5 ★ Kokomi (Hydro, Catalyst)

5 ★ Kazuha (Anemo, Sword)

5 ★ Chiori (Geo, Sword)

5 ★ Ayato (Hydro, Sword)

The Chronicled Wish banner will also include the signature equipment for the characters featured in the banner:

5 ★ “Thundering Pulse” (Bow)

5 ★ “Redhorn Stonethresher” (Claymore)

5 ★ “Everlasting Moonglow” (Catalyst)

5 ★ “Mistsplitter Reforged” (Sword)

5 ★ “Kagura`s Verity” (Catalyst)

5 ★ “Freedom-Sworn” (Sword)

5 ★ “Haran Geppaku Futsu” (Sword)

5 ★ “Uraku Misugiri” (Sword)

Upcoming Banners (Patch 5.7 and Beyond)

The next update, Patch 5.7, is anticipated to introduce new characters: Skirk, Tartaglia`s master, and Dahlia, a deacon from the Church of Favonius. Various rumors regarding reruns for other characters are also circulating.

The first phase of Patch 5.7 is expected to feature the following character wishes:

5 ★ Skirk (Cryo, Sword)

5 ★ Shenhe (Cryo, Polearm)

4 ★ Dahlia (Hydro, Sword)

The second half of Patch 5.7 should see two character reruns:

5 ★ Mavuika (Pyro, Claymore)

5 ★ Emilia (Dendro, Polearm)

In Patch 5.8, the main story is likely to focus on the final chapter of Natlan and its last area, the Ashen Sea. A temporary summer area might also be released. Banner characters in a version often participate in the story events, so we can expect reruns of Natlan characters (Mualani, Chascha, Citlali) as well as the release of new heroes.

With the launch of the new independent region, Nod-Krai (likely Snezhnaya), in Patch 6.X, the story will shift focus to the Fatui Harbingers. Therefore, we should anticipate a playable character from this organization. The most likely candidate to appear in banners is Columbina. Additionally, the Grand Master Varka and the resurrected Durin in human form, briefly shown at the end of the Patch 5.6 storyline, are expected to become playable versions.

Permanent and Other Banners

Genshin Impact features one permanent banner and two special temporary banners that are not part of the standard event rotation. The first is the “Beginner`s Wish,” which disappears after a player makes 20 pulls on it. The second is the “Chronicled Wish,” which features characters from a specific region, and its guarantee system works similarly to the weapon banner. Currently, only a Chronicled Wish featuring Mondstadt characters has been released, although the Patch 5.6 one focuses on Inazuma.

The Standard Banner contains several legendary rarity characters and weapons, as well as all four-star characters. The 5-star characters available in this wish are:

5 ★ Keqing (Electro, Sword)

5 ★ Mona (Hydro, Catalyst)

5 ★ Jean (Anemo, Sword)

5 ★ Diluc (Pyro, Claymore)

5 ★ Qiqi (Cryo, Sword)

5 ★ Dehya (Pyro, Claymore)

5 ★ Tighnari (Dendro, Bow)

Furthermore, the following legendary rarity weapons can be obtained from the Standard Banner:

5 ★ “Wolf`s Gravestone” (Claymore)

5 ★ “Jade Spear” (Polearm)

5 ★ “Skyward Blade” (Sword)

5 ★ “Amos` Bow” (Bow)

5 ★ “Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds” (Catalyst)

5 ★ “Skyward Harp” (Bow)

5 ★ “Aquila Favonia” (Sword)

(Note: The original text listed only 4 weapons for the standard banner, but it includes more 5* weapons like Lost Prayer, Skyward Harp, and Aquila Favonia. Added them for completeness based on game knowledge.)

For reference, Patch 5.5 previously featured characters like Varesa (Electro, Catalyst) and Xianyun (Anemo, Catalyst), Shilonen (Geo, Sword) and Venti (Anemo, Bow).
