BetBoom Team`s Dota 2 midlaner, Danil “gpK~” Skutin, commented on the grand final of FISSURE Universe: Episode 4. In a post-match interview, he revealed how the team`s strategic approach to drafts contributed to their dominant performance and how they improved throughout the tournament.
“Actually, the grand final match was relatively easy. We simply prepared well in terms of drafts, we had prepared answers for their strategies, and we knew what we wanted to play. This preparation made the match straightforward for us.”
According to gpK~, their earlier loss to Team Liquid in the tournament proved to be a valuable learning experience, helping them address key issues in their gameplay.
“[In the group stage], things were generally okay. We lost to Team Liquid, who outplayed us. However, that loss provided us with a lot of food for thought. Subsequently, we faced Aurora, a match that was inevitable, and we emerged victorious. Following that, we won against Team Spirit in another CIS derby. These victories significantly boosted our confidence. We advanced through the upper bracket and ultimately won the tournament.”
FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 was held online from March 22nd to 30th, featuring 16 teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool. In the grand final, BetBoom Team triumphed over Gaimin Gladiators with a clean 3-0 victory.
