Dota 2 streamer Igor `iLTW` Filatov has publicly apologized for offensive comments he made about the mothers of players from Ramzes Team. The remarks occurred during the final match of the BetBoom Streamers Battle 10 tournament. Filatov shared his apology via a post on his personal Telegram channel.
In his statement, iLTW expressed deep regret for his words, offering apologies specifically to Zaur and the entire Ramzes Team. He clarified that he never intended to offend anyone or hurt their feelings. He explained that his stream environment often features a unique, surreal atmosphere, and comments made, even during matches, are usually just jokes aimed at releasing emotions, emphasizing that he views Dota and reality as separate.
Regarding the specific incident, he attributed his lapse in judgment to a combination of sleep deprivation and stress from what he described as the “unbalanced streamers battle.” He stated that he spoke without considering that his opponents could hear him, feeling as though he was speaking “into emptiness.” iLTW pledged to be more cautious and avoid similar remarks in future friendly tournaments and directly addressed Zaur, asking him not to hold a grudge.
In related news, Filatov recently shared his perspective on combating match-fixing in esports, stating his belief that the most effective deterrent is imposing criminal liability on those involved.
