The channel of Twitch streamer Ivan Zolo has been permanently blocked. A message from the platform`s administration stated that the ban was issued due to “hacking and platform manipulation.”
Zolo noted that he has already filed an appeal. He suggested the ban is likely an error, as similar issues have previously occurred with streamers Anton `dyrachyo` Shkredov and Vyacheslav `Buster` Leontiev. Moderators quickly lifted the ban in both those cases, and Leontiev mentioned his ban happened after testing a stream on a new computer.
Separately, on June 23, Twitch users in Russia saw a reduction in the available video quality options. The usual 1080p was removed, leaving only 720p available. Twitch technical support explained this was due to economic reasons, while platform head Dan Clancy stated that Twitch does not intend to leave Russia.
