Janusz ‘Snax’ Pogorzelski Reflects on Time with G2 Esports After Departure

Veteran Counter-Strike 2 player Janusz `Snax` Pogorzelski has formally announced his departure from the G2 Esports roster. The Polish rifler and occasional in-game leader took to his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), to publish a reflective and characteristically candid farewell message addressed to his now-former teammates and the organization.

Snax joined G2 Esports for a period that proved remarkably impactful, despite its relative brevity. During his time with the team, he was part of the lineup that achieved significant victories, securing first place finishes at both BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2024. The news of his benching within the team structure first emerged publicly on July 11th.

In his statement, Snax conveyed a sense of personal pride in his contributions, noting that he always gave his maximum effort in every team he joined, viewing each iteration as potentially his “last dance.” He even included a touch of self-deprecating humor, stating he was proud of what he achieved “being the worst captain” – a nod to the demanding nature of the In-Game Leader role he sometimes undertook.

A significant portion of his message was dedicated to heartfelt acknowledgments of his teammates. He offered specific praise and well wishes:

  • To NiKo, he highlighted his incredible work ethic and energy.
  • He encouraged m0NESY to maintain a positive mindset and simply enjoy playing the game.
  • MalbsMd was recognized as an amazing teammate and person.
  • Snax supported TaZ, urging him to stick to his vision regardless of external opinions.
  • He thanked HuNter- for their games and conversations and wished him strength if he were to take on the IGL role.
  • HeavyGod received a mention, with Snax expressing regret over their short time together and acknowledging his skill.

He also extended gratitude to the G2 Esports organization for providing “a small guy from Poland” with an opportunity.

Adding a moment of classic Snax wit, the farewell concluded with an ironic jab. While thanking almost everyone, he pointedly stated he would not thank Hades, humorously claiming his teammate “played on 60Hz the whole tournament.” It`s the kind of playful, lighthearted banter that players often share, now made public on his departure.

Looking ahead, Snax stated that his future plans are currently undecided. He mentioned having time to address “some things” but did not provide details on his next move in the competitive landscape.

Snax`s exit marks the closing of a short but successful chapter with G2 Esports, leaving fans to anticipate where the experienced player will surface next in the evolving world of Counter-Strike 2.
