BetBoom Team Dota 2 player Vladislav “Kataomi” Semenov commented on the team`s triumph at PGL Wallachia Season 5. Sharing his thoughts on his personal Telegram channel, he detailed the factors contributing to the team`s success.
We won Wallachia. I can say that the tournament wasn`t easy for us from the start, but thanks to everyone trying hard, playing a lot, and giving our maximum, we were able to win. We had several very productive team talks after frustrating losses, immediately identified mistakes in drafting and gameplay, quickly corrected them, after which playing became much easier. Honestly, after beating Spirit, we got a huge boost and knew we would win this tournament. Special thanks to my beloved girlfriend for her immense support during difficult moments; without her, I wouldn`t be the player and person I am now! ❤️
PGL Wallachia Season 5 took place in Bucharest, Romania, from June 21 to 29. Sixteen teams competed for a total prize pool of one million dollars. After an early loss to Team Liquid in the upper bracket, BetBoom Team navigated through the lower bracket to reach the grand final. Semenov`s squad overcame challenges from Natus Vincere and Team Spirit, secured revenge against Team Liquid, and ultimately defeated Gaimin Gladiators with a 3-1 score in the final match.
