Korb3n Explains Why Some Teams Are Skipping DreamLeague S26

Dmitry `Korb3n` Belov, the manager of the Team Spirit Dota 2 roster, shed light on why several teams have chosen to skip the DreamLeague Season 26 tournament. Korb3n shared his thoughts during a personal Twitch stream.

Teams are pulling out of DreamLeague because people want to rest after a demanding season. And then there`s Riyadh Masters, which is very important. The fact is, if you play DreamLeague, you finish at the end of May. Riyadh Masters is in early July, there`ll be another tournament before Riyadh Masters, and you`ll need to start preparing for that already. The vacation would only be about ten days, two weeks at most. Some want to rest for, say, three weeks and so on.

Previously, Team Spirit announced their decision to miss the championship on March 30th, followed by Tundra Esports on May 1st. Their spots were subsequently filled by Team Liquid and Natus Vincere Junior.

DreamLeague Season 26 is scheduled to take place online from May 19th to June 1st. Sixteen teams will compete for a million-dollar prize pool and 29,200 ESL Pro Tour points. This event marks the final ranking tournament of the third EPT season leading up to Riyadh Masters 2025.
