Lesta Games Marks 80th Anniversary of Victory Day with Special Events

Lesta Games celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory (May 9) with extensive in-game events across World of Tanks, World of Warships, and Tanks Blitz. Running from April 30 to May 9, these themed activities paid tribute to the heroism of those who participated in the Great Patriotic War.

In World of Tanks, the “Time of Heroes” event kicked off on April 30. The in-game Garage was styled to resemble Red Square. Through a special Battle Pass, players could engage in recreated key battles, from the Battle of Moscow to the Storming of Berlin, utilizing historical tanks and guided by Soviet commanders. Additionally, a series of notes titled “Frontline Diary: Path to Victory” was released, and a new Battle Pass featuring the unique captured “Mouse” tank was announced for late May.

On May 9, the World of Tanks team released a video featuring a virtual parade on Red Square, showcasing tank units that participated in the Great Patriotic War.

We believe that our games should become another bridge, connecting generations and passing on the legacy of memory about the immortal feat of the Soviet people. In almost three years of independent and standalone development of the trilogy, we have transformed our games into unique and original projects, but one thing remains unchanged: we celebrate the most important and memorable dates together with our players. And our audience values this.

In World of Warships, an update released on May 6 focused on the achievements of the Baltic Fleet. The main port of Kronstadt received festive decorations, and players were offered a strategic operation, “Feats of the Baltic Fleet,” covering stages from lifting the Siege of Leningrad to the liberation of Europe. A new map, “Last Haven,” created based on archival materials, was also introduced. The celebration concluded with a virtual ship parade.

In the mobile game Tanks Blitz, the “May Salute” event was launched. Players earned “fireworks” by winning battles, which they could use to decorate the sky. The game also featured a festive hangar, special music, and vehicles dedicated to Victory Day.
