Maddyson Criticizes Bungie’s Marathon Game

Content creator Ilya “Maddyson” Davydov has shared his impressions of the presentation for Bungie`s upcoming game, Marathon. On his personal Telegram channel, he strongly criticized the title, suggesting it might face the same fate as Concord from Firewalk Studios.

Maddyson expressed harsh disapproval of the game after viewing its presentation. He stated that the game is “just awful” and suggested that Bungie should cancel it immediately to save money. He described Marathon as an “extraction shooter with cartoonish characters” featuring a “poor and repulsive visual style” resembling “grey pixels in a Lego world.” He questioned the decision-making behind such ideas, sarcastically asking if “blue-haired fat women” were responsible. Maddyson predicted that the game would have zero online players at launch and die within a week, questioning if the developers learned anything from Concord`s failure.

Marathon is described as an extraction shooter where players take on the roles of synthetic mercenaries, each with unique classes and abilities. In matches, teams of three players will need to collect loot and extract from raids while battling other teams. Marathon is scheduled for release on September 23, 2025, and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
