Streamer Ilya Maddyson Davydov addressed an unexpected situation via his Telegram channel: condoms bearing his photograph have appeared for sale on online marketplaces. According to the blogger, he has no connection to these products and did not grant permission for his image to be used.
Guys, I have no idea who is doing this, and it has nothing to do with me. I`m not selling anything; I don`t have a trademark, so anyone can slap my photo on anything, be it [condoms] or hemorrhoid cream. I`ll deal with this through a lawyer now that this topic has come up.
The streamer joked that if he were genuinely involved in producing such items, he would approach it more creatively. He also warned his followers not to associate his name with the quality of these specific condoms.
If I decided to do it, I`d make some fun ones, maybe with little mustaches. But they`ve even used some [ugly], [like] `skuf` photos. I take absolutely no responsibility for these [condoms]. Now someone might actually think they`re mine, buy them, they`ll turn out leaky, and that won won`t be fun at all.
In conclusion, Maddyson called the whole incident “pure rofl” (a joke or prank). However, he noted that about 15 people had already contacted him about the matter that morning.
