Idan “MagicaL” Vardanyan, a former professional Dota 2 player, discussed his earnings while playing for Natus Vincere (Na`Vi). The esports veteran shared his reflections during a live stream on Twitch, with the highlight being posted on the LEGENDWP Telegram channel.
In his statement, MagicaL mentioned: “Currently, my income is ten times greater than what I earned at Natus Vincere. Na`Vi provided the highest salary I`ve ever received. While I won`t disclose specific figures, tier-2 scene players typically earned between $2,000 and $6,000 around three years ago. This was the case if teams didn`t achieve significant victories like Team Spirit. My point of reference is about three years ago. I believe the situation has changed considerably now, especially considering the investments from betting companies.”
MagicaL was a member of Natus Vincere from 2018 to 2020. During his tenure, the team participated in The International 2019, where they secured a 13th-16th place finish. According to Esports Earnings, Vardanyan`s total esports earnings are estimated at approximately $170,000.
