Major Tournament Participant Accused of Stealing Skins and Losing Them to Gambling

Joakim “jkaem” Mirbostad, a Counter-Strike 2 player for BCGame, is facing accusations of losing borrowed skins valued at $11,000. According to user Magnus on X (formerly Twitter), jkaem borrowed the skins for his appearance at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

Magnus claims that Mirbostad gambled away all the skins. For a year, jkaem allegedly ignored Magnus, making excuses and promising to return the items. Magnus set a deadline of March 15, 2025, for repayment but received only $1,000 of the $11,000 owed. After jkaem requested an extension, Magnus publicly shared the situation. Following this post, several other individuals came forward, alleging similar fraudulent experiences with the professional player.

During the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, jkaem competed for Apeks. His team reached the semi-finals but was defeated by Team Vitality, ultimately securing a 3rd-4th place finish.
