Arman “Malady” Orazbayev, a support player for Gaimin Gladiators` Dota 2 team, recently spoke about his responsibilities within the squad. The player from Kazakhstan shared insights into the duties he takes on during an appearance on the “Evening Vlados” show via the PM Esports YouTube channel.

I`ve seen in many places that people write that Malady came to Gladiators and took over the drafts and leadership. In reality, that`s not the case. I do my 20% that is required of me, and that`s it.

When you join a team like Gladiators, you realize that the players are tier-1 level: they`ve won so many tournaments, and you haven`t won any. Out of the respect I have for them, I can`t just push my own agenda and, for example, say: `You`ll play this hero, and you`ll do that`. But I still have an impact on the drafts. Even if I can`t tell people directly, I communicate with the coach, and we work on drafts before and after games. And for the early game, from the late smoke to the wisdom rune and the active rune at the eighth minute, I take responsibility.

Malady initially joined Gaimin Gladiators as a stand-in in February. In April, the organization announced that Orazbayev would become the team`s permanent position five player. Since he joined, GG secured a second-place finish at FISSURE Universe: Episode 4, placed in the top 8 at PGL Wallachia Season 3, and successfully qualified for DreamLeague Season 26.
