Bungie has released a short film dedicated to the extraction shooter Marathon. The video, focusing on the game`s events, is available on YouTube.
The short film was directed by Alberto Mielgo, known for his work on two episodes of the anthology series “Love, Death & Robots”. His episodes “The Witness” and “Jibaro” are among the highest-rated episodes of the show.
Marathon is an extraction shooter where players take on the roles of synthetic mercenaries called Runners, each with unique classes and abilities. In matches, teams of three must collect loot and evacuate, while battling other teams. Marathon is scheduled for release on September 23, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Alpha testing for the game will begin on April 23; registration is available on the official Discord server.
