Matt Reeves Finishes “The Batman: Part 2” Script

Director Matt Reeves has completed the script for the second “Batman” film. He recently shared a photo of the script`s title page on social media, clearly displaying the iconic symbol of the DC superhero.

The upcoming sequel is officially titled “Batman: Part 2”. While its premiere was initially planned for October 2025, the date was later shifted to October 2, 2026, and is now set for October 1, 2027. DC Studios CEO James Gunn had previously indicated that the script`s progress was slow due to Reeves` meticulous working pace.

Reeves` first installment, “The Batman”, starring Robert Pattinson in the titular role, was released in 2022. The film achieved significant box office success, grossing over $770 million worldwide, and was generally well-received by both critics and audiences.
