Microsoft Creates Real-Time AI-Generated Quake II Clone – Playable in Browser

Microsoft has showcased the potential of its Muse AI neural network for generating real-time games. As an example, the AI has generated gameplay footage reminiscent of Quake II.

Muse AI was trained using gameplay recordings. Initially, this neural network could generate game versions at 10 FPS with a 300×180 pixel resolution. However, the latest iteration, which produced the Quake II demo, can now operate at a resolution of 640×360 pixels.

Users of Copilot can experience this real-time, AI-generated Quake II directly in their browsers for free. It`s important to note that this technical demonstration is a time-limited game session.
