Mojang Studios has announced the next significant update for Minecraft, which will revamp the game`s lighting and overall graphics. A trailer showcasing the new features has been released on YouTube.
The update is titled “Vibrant Visuals” and introduces a new setting of the same name that players can toggle on or off at any time. When enabled, Minecraft will feature improved lighting, resembling ray tracing effects. Additionally, the developers have added new textures, reflections, and enhanced the glow of objects and their components. Mojang assures players that Vibrant Visuals will not drastically impact performance and will be compatible with older versions of the game.
Furthermore, Minecraft is introducing its first-ever flying mount – the friendly Ghast. To tame this creature, players will need to find a Withered Ghast in the Nether, bring it to the surface, and release it into water.
These new features will first appear in a test mode in the coming months. The full release of the update is scheduled for later. The developers also emphasized their commitment to continuously improving the graphics and other aspects of the game to meet modern standards.
